Hetedhét Toy Museum
The toy museum is a “mandatory” sight to see for families with young children. Here the kids can experience and play with interactive games. For the adults, they can check out the toys from their mom’s, grandmom’s time.
With the help of thousands of miniature toys arranged in the baby’s room We can get a glimpse into the everyday life of a 18-19th century citizen. The toys were made in famous Europian factories, and everyone one of them has a name, there is an interesting story or legend about how they were made or gotten. The most valuable and oldest ones are from the beginning of the 18th century and a particularly valuable part of the collection is the tiny porcelain sets. The toys of the girls there are puzzles and board games, for the boys there are castles, soldiers, ships and trains too.
the other exhibition of the museum we can find the works from László Réber, in 2019 it got the “Exhibition of the year” award. His art pieces follow famous author’s works like Ervin Lázár and Éva Janikovszky, we can also read in his arts István Örkény’s book or Kurt Vonnegut’s novels, Murphy’s law book and Gerald Durrel’s books too. His flighty characters are drawn with simple lines and with lots of humor and love.
